Privacy Policy

Short version: we don't ask who you are, we don't set cookies, we don't run analytics or ads, and we don't keep a list of the videos you look up. Here are the details.
What we don't collect
- No accounts, names, or email addresses (unless you email us yourself).
- No cookies, local storage tracking, fingerprinting, or advertising IDs.
- No analytics or third-party tracking scripts.
The link you paste
The YouTube link you paste is read by JavaScript in your own browser to find the video ID. It is not sent to us
as part of looking up thumbnails. After a lookup, the video ID is added to the page address (for example
?url=VIDEO_ID) so you can bookmark or share the result. That address stays in your browser history
like any other page.
Clipboard
The Paste button reads your clipboard only when you tap it, and only to place the text into the input box. Your browser may ask for permission first. The clipboard text never leaves your device unless it is a YouTube link that you then look up.
Thumbnail previews (YouTube)
Previews and the "Open in new tab" links load images directly from img.youtube.com, which is
operated by Google. When that happens, Google receives your IP address and standard browser information, as with
any image you load from its servers. We send these requests with no referrer. Google's handling of that data is
covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
Downloads
When you tap Download, your browser asks our server for that one image (video ID and size). Our server fetches it from YouTube and passes it to you as a file. We don't store the image and we don't keep our own log of which videos were requested.
Hosting and security logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, and may keep short-lived logs for that purpose. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Your rights
Because we don't hold personal data about you, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct, or delete. If you've emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, ask and we'll do it.
Changes
If we change how the Service handles data (for example, adding privacy-friendly analytics), we'll update this page and the date above before the change takes effect.
